PHILIPPE ZUMSTEIN
CRIS FARIA, was born in 1975 in Brazil, he lives and works in Zurich. "Contratiempo" will be Cris's fourteenth exhibition with the gallery after his successful solo exhibition "Mythe Sans Titre" in 2018. Cris Faria holds a Diplôme in Visual Arts from HEAD Genéve (Haute école d'art et de design), 2005. The artist has won in 2008 the prestigious prize "Quartier des Bains" in Geneva and since then Cris Faria is continuing to work very closely with a group of artists, architects, designers and surfers of his selection in Switzerland and internationally.
JOHANNES GEES, was born in 1960 in Switzerland, he lives and works in Zurich. "Contratiempo" will be Johannes Gees's first exhibition with the gallery. Johannes has studied Ethnology and History at the University of Zurich. Gees since early 20005 exhibiting internationally and in Switzerland. His work was received and regarded in different Swiss cantons and has been welcomed from public art authorities. In 2012 Johannes Gees has co—founded "We Make It"- And he works with a group of established entrepreneurs and artists of his selection.
PHILIPPE ZUMSTEIN's work with regards to painting in particular, between painting and sculpture, flat and predominate, focuses in to our world and his fascination for the design object that jostle for space on the fictive plane of painting. As Zumstein reveals 'art is always a spatial accident', a true in both the spiritual and architectural sense. Philippe Zumstein, born in 1973, lives and works in Geneva, Switzerland.
