Laleh June Galerie is pleased to announce Edgeland, the
gallery's second solo exhibitionwith Geneva-based artist Christine
Boillat. Boillat's latest drawings have started over ayear ago and
completed this summer 2020, the new series of drawings entitled
Edgeland,“an English word that designates an area peripheral to the
city, a remote area where thereis a lot of vegetation and few signs of
civilization” explains Christine Boillat. “I use this wordto speak of
a border zone between several worlds such as for example the
borderbetween imagination and reality, or the border between
dreams/nightmares and reality, orbetween appearances and truth.”
Christine was born in 1978 in Lausanne. She lives and works in Geneva and Grenoble and has exhibited with Laleh June Galerie since 2013.
